What they actually want (must-haves)

5–8 years of experience in public accounting, accounting advisory, consulting, and/or corporate accounting/finance
Minimum of 2 years of experience at a Big 4 firm (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, or PwC)

Nice to have

CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification
Experience with SEC reporting and filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and S-1, or public-company financial reporting environments
Experience performing technical accounting research, preparing accounting memoranda, and/or applying guidance in complex accounting areas, including revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, or stock-based compensation
