  • 6+ years of experience in metalworking / mechanical engineering
  • Expert knowledge of machining and fabrication processes (turning, milling, CNC machining, EDM, laser/waterjet/plasma cutting, sheet metal processing, and welding)
  • Understanding of post-processing methods (polishing, hardening, heat treatment, anodizing, sand/shot blasting, coatings, and painting)

What the job really is

As a Pricing Engineer at Xometry, you will analyze CAD models and technical drawings to assess manufacturability and calculate costs for manufacturing. Your role will involve providing feedback for design for manufacturability (DFM), documenting calculations for the Sales team, and ensuring timely and accurate quoting for customers. You will also support process automation initiatives and maintain quote databases.
