What the job really is

As a Backend Engineer at SumUp, you will be part of the Global Bank team, focusing on modernizing and consolidating the balance management system for merchants. Your daily tasks will involve building and evolving core banking services, tackling complex distributed systems challenges, and collaborating with various teams to ensure reliable operations. You will also take ownership of the services you build, from design to production, while continuously improving their performance.
