What the job really is

The Director of Engineering at Step will lead and develop the engineering organization, collaborating closely with the CTO and other leaders to define and execute the technical strategy and roadmap. This role involves mentoring teams, ensuring high-quality product delivery, and evolving engineering practices to support rapid growth. The director will also focus on building a strong culture of ownership and accountability while addressing technical and organizational challenges.
