What they actually want (must-haves)
  • 4+ years in electrical assembly, harness fabrication, or avionics installation
  • Ability to build to IPC/WHMA-A-620, solder to J-STD-001, and inspect to IPC-A-610
  • DC harness wiring with D-Sub, Micro-D, and circular connectors, including crimping with calibrated tooling
  • Reads schematics, wire lists, and interconnect diagrams without close supervision
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, and similar test equipment
Nice to have
  • Current CIS or CIT certification in J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, or IPC/WHMA-A-620
  • Class 3 or J-STD-001 Space Addendum work on flight or space hardware
  • Automated harness test systems (Cirris, DIT-MCO, or similar), including test program setup
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems and AS9102 first article reporting
What the job really is

The Electrical & Wiring Technician at Skyryse is responsible for building wire harnesses that enable aircraft to operate using fly-by-wire technology. Daily tasks include assembling wire harnesses and cable assemblies according to specific standards, performing inspections, diagnosing failures, and collaborating with engineers to ensure quality and compliance with technical specifications.
