What they actually want (must-haves)
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related field
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in multi-layer PCB design
  • Experience implementing digital communication peripherals at a hardware level, such as USB 2.0, Ethernet, I2C, and RS232
  • Experience designing power supply circuitry
  • Strong familiarity with test equipment such as DMM, bench top supply, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts
Nice to have
  • Experience with Altium Designer
  • Competency with simulation tools for high speed digital design and power supply design
  • Proven experience with Xilinx FPGAs, SoCs and the Vivado IDE
  • Experience with audio or video codecs
  • Knowledge of compliance standards such as FCC, CE Mark and MIL-STD-461
What the job really is

As an Electronics Design Engineer at Silvus Technologies, you will focus on the design and development of multi-layer PCBs for advanced MANET radios and other R&D projects. Your responsibilities will include component selection, schematic capture, PCB design, and validation of designs to meet performance requirements. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure successful system-level implementation and perform hardware testing and analysis.
