What they actually want (must-haves)

  • 5+ years of work experience in backend software engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience building resilient services (e.g. graceful degradation and recovery).
  • Solid experience with Go or similar backend programming languages and concurrent high-traffic systems.
  • Hands-on experience designing and building RESTful APIs, preferably using a Go framework (e.g. Fiber, Gin).
  • Comfortable working with relational databases, ORM, query optimization and schema migrations (e.g. Postgres, GORM).

  • Experience working on large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience working with real-time or streaming systems (e.g. WebSockets or similar).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript and ability to support the frontend team.
