What they actually want (must-haves)
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent heavy civil field experience
  • 3 – 5 years of heavy civil construction experience in scheduling and/or project management
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 and P6 Visualizer
  • Strong working knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills

What the job really is

The Project Scheduler will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules for heavy civil infrastructure projects such as bridges and highways. This role involves building bid and baseline schedules in Oracle Primavera P6, leading schedule updates, and advising project teams on schedule-related risks. Additionally, the Project Scheduler will mentor entry-level team members and take ownership of assigned project schedules.
