  • 2+ years of legal experience, whether at a law firm or in-house
  • Attorney with a JD and membership in good standing in at least one state bar association
  • Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal and commercial contract advice directly to colleagues at all levels
  • Creative and strategic thinker who can create and improve upon processes to drive efficiencies
  • Experience with, or willingness to, work on corporate and commercial matters in both the US and the UK

  • Strong interest in and awareness of the payment industry sector, and SaaS contracting models
  • Payment industry or account-to-account payment experience is a plus

  • CIPP/E or CIPP/M certification is a plus
What the job really is

As Corporate Counsel at NMI, you will advise on a variety of commercial agreements and corporate legal issues, primarily supporting the US and UK sales teams. Your responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating contracts, handling data protection requests, and providing legal advice across the organization. You will also maintain legal resources and identify opportunities for process improvements within the legal team.
