What they actually want (must-haves)
  • 8+ years of experience in federal IT, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering or related technical environments supporting government or regulated missions
  • 4+ years of experience leading technical programs, platform initiatives or complex cross-functional engineering projects in SaaS, cloud-native or cybersecurity environments
  • Demonstrated experience delivering against FedRAMP, DoD IL4/IL5, STIG or DoD Cloud Computing SRG requirements
  • Strong experience with AWS cloud services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3 and IAM; AWS GovCloud experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and cloud automation technologies such as Terraform, container platforms and automated deployment pipelines
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, automation and modern platform engineering practices in federal environments
Nice to have
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified Security – Specialty or similar cloud certifications
  • HashiCorp Terraform Associate or Professional certification
  • Direct experience achieving or maintaining FedRAMP High or DoD IL5 authorization, including support for third-party assessment activities
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-53 control families and FedRAMP authorization processes
  • Exposure to secrets management, privileged access management or identity security platforms
What the job really is

The Senior Program Engineer will lead complex initiatives related to Keeper's federal platform, IT services, and cloud infrastructure. This role involves driving execution of the federal platform roadmap, overseeing cloud modernization and automation, and ensuring compliance with federal standards. The engineer will collaborate across teams to enhance operational readiness and manage program timelines while mentoring the growing Federal Platform Operations team.
