What they actually want (must-haves)
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in product lifecycle management, manufacturing engineering, new product introduction (NPI), or a related technology transfer role
  • Demonstrated experience taking hardware products from engineering prototype through production, including DFM/DFA reviews and stage-gate processes
  • Working knowledge of BOM structures, engineering change management, and PLM/PDM tooling
  • Experience reading and working with engineering drawings, P&IDs, and system schematics
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, supply chain, quality, and production
Nice to have
  • Background in energy, aerospace, or defense hardware programs
  • Familiarity with high-pressure gas systems and relevant codes and standards (NFPA 2, ASME B31.3, CGA)
  • Experience supporting hazard analyses (HAZOP, FMEA)
  • Experience scaling manufacturing at an early-stage or low-rate-initial-production
  • Familiarity with defense procurement and export control considerations (ITAR/EAR, MTCR) as they relate to production planning
