What they actually want (must-haves)
  • Active Maryland license: LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, LMFT, or LCSW-C
  • Master’s degree or higher from an accredited program in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health discipline
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
  • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
  • Strong technology skills and ability to learn systems including Zoom, Google Workspace, EHR platforms, and collaboration tools
  • Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive care

What the job really is

As a Full-Time Licensed Therapist at Backpack Healthcare, you will manage a caseload of 25–36 therapy sessions per week, providing individual, family, and group therapy through telehealth. Your responsibilities will include conducting clinical intakes, developing treatment plans, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, all while focusing on delivering exceptional clinical care to children and families.

Benefits
  • $65/billable hour — LCSW-C, LCPC, or LMFT with independent licensure
  • $45/billable hour — LMSW or LGPC (supervision provided; limited openings)
