What they actually want (must-haves)
  • BE/BTech (CS/IT/E&TC) or equivalent
  • 4–6 years SOC experience with demonstrable incident handling ownership
  • Strong multi-source triage across cloud, network and identity telemetry
  • Audit-grade documentation; ability to run a shift independently and calmly under P1 pressure
  • Mentoring aptitude — this role carries the shift's junior bench
Nice to have
  • GCIH/CHFI-level knowledge; scripting for enrichment/automation
  • Hands-on triage of Kubernetes/container security alerts — kube-audit events, workload anomalies and pod-level network flows (Cilium/Hubble) — ideally on GKE
  • CKA/CKS or KCSA; exposure to admission controls and image/runtime security tooling
  • Prior GPU-cloud, hyperscale or data-center customer exposure
What the job really is

The Security Analyst II at Gruve will serve as the senior-most L1 analyst in the SOC pod, responsible for triaging security alerts and ensuring quality investigations. This role involves handling high-severity alerts, coaching junior analysts, and coordinating with the NOC during incidents, while also driving metrics related to SLA adherence and false-positive rates.

Things to weigh
  • No specific salary or benefits listed
  • The role requires handling high-pressure situations and mentoring junior staff, which may be demanding
  • Focus on cloud and container security may limit exposure to other areas of cybersecurity
