What the job really is

As an Elementary AmeriCorps Tutor at Great Oaks Legacy Charter School, you will support elementary students in literacy and mathematics by working closely with teachers. Your responsibilities include reinforcing lessons, leading math centers, conducting reading-fluency conferences, and building professional relationships with students. You will also prepare materials, record attendance, and participate in required training and service events.

  • Living allowance of $14,400 for the full service year, distributed biweekly
  • Segal AmeriCorps Education Award of $5,176.50 after successful completion of the term
