What they actually want (must-haves)
  • 5+ years of electrical design experience on industrial, utility, power generation, energy storage, data center, or heavy commercial facility projects
  • Advanced AutoCAD skills
  • Ability to read, navigate, and coordinate within Revit models for multi-discipline clash detection
  • Demonstrated ability to take a design from concept through IFC
  • Familiarity with NEC/NFPA 70 and applicable electrical design standards
  • Solid grasp of medium- and low-voltage power distribution
Nice to have

  • Exposure to ETAP or SKM for load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and coordination studies

What the job really is

As an Electrical Designer at Giga, you will be responsible for creating electrical design packages for data center and power generation projects. This includes developing single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, and coordinating designs in Revit while primarily using AutoCAD. You will work closely with electrical engineers, take ownership of design packages, and ensure designs meet industry codes and standards.
