What they actually want (must-haves)

1 to 2 years of experience in industrial refrigeration system design and analysis
Member of a Canadian provincial Engineering Association either as P.Eng or EIT
Familiarity with ammonia and CO2 refrigeration systems
Knowledge of refrigeration and piping codes and standards
Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or relevant qualifications in a related field
Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Nice to have

Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, and P&ID software packages

What the job really is

The Junior Refrigeration Engineer/EIT at LAPORTE will work under the Lead Engineer to design, analyze, and implement refrigeration systems for various sectors including food & beverage and pharmaceuticals. Daily tasks include CAD drafting, conducting safety audits, writing specifications, and collaborating with team members and clients to ensure project success.
