What they actually want (must-haves)
  • B.S. or M.S in Computer Science or in a related technical field
  • Fluency in Java, C++ or another modern language
  • Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, multi-threaded and asynchronous patterns
  • Passion for quality, zero downtime upgrades, availability, resiliency, and uptime of the platform
  • Experience developing scalable distributed systems and deploying, scaling, and managing microservices

What the job really is

As a Software Engineer at Dremio, you will be part of a technical team focused on building core experiences for the Dremio stack, contributing to the software development lifecycle from design to deployment. You will work with open source technologies, particularly Apache Arrow, and collaborate with various stakeholders on feature requests while also mentoring team members and engaging with customers and BI tool partners.
