What they actually want (must-haves)
  • B.S. or M.S in Computer Science or in a related technical field
  • Fluency in Java, C++ or another modern language
  • Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, multi-threaded and asynchronous patterns
  • Passion for quality, zero downtime upgrades, availability, resiliency, and uptime of the platform
  • Experience developing scalable distributed systems and deploying, scaling, and managing microservices
Nice to have

What the job really is

As a Software Engineer at Dremio, you will contribute to the entire software development cycle, from design to deployment, focusing on building core experiences on the Dremio stack. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams, participating in code reviews, and working directly with customers and BI tools. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to engage with open source projects, particularly those related to Apache Arrow.
