What they actually want (must-haves)
  • Law degree from the EU, UK or US
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience since graduating, gained in private practice and/or in a legal function at a regulated financial services firm
  • Proven contract experience: drafting from scratch, commercial negotiation, and managing business and counterparty expectations
  • Experience with corporate housekeeping, including board and shareholder resolutions and meetings
  • Affinity with entity set-up across jurisdictions, corporate restructuring and (tax) optimisation projects
  • Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day legal work
Nice to have
  • Experience advising financial services clients is a strong plus
  • Curiosity about emerging topics such as artificial intelligence, both as a legal subject and as a way of working

What the job really is

As Legal Counsel, you will provide legal advice to trading teams, manage contracts, and handle corporate matters such as board resolutions and stakeholder engagement. You will also support corporate structuring projects, advise on privacy and AI-related legal issues, and collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance and efficiency in legal operations.
