What they actually want (must-haves)
  • Minimum 2 years’ of progressive experience in a conference center or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of service standards and different service types
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects up to 25 kg without assistance
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time

What the job really is

As a Conference and Events Supervisor at Convene, you will lead the operations team to ensure the success of events, maintaining high-quality service and profitability. Your responsibilities include supervising the service team, coordinating between culinary and service staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will also be involved in training staff and ensuring client satisfaction during events.
