What they actually want (must-haves)
  • 8+ years of legal experience, in-house, at a law firm, or ideally both
  • Deep expertise in German corporate law (Gesellschaftsrecht)
  • Fluent German and English, written and spoken
  • Hands-on experience with financing rounds, M&A or comparable transactions
  • Sound commercial judgement
  • Confident negotiator who builds trust with counterparties
Nice to have

What the job really is

As a Senior Legal Counsel at Carbonfuture, you will lead the legal function, managing the contract lifecycle from drafting to negotiation and signing across various agreements. You will also drive the establishment of carbon credits as a new financial asset class, advise on regulatory matters, and represent the company in trade associations. This role involves significant ownership and collaboration with leadership, as well as overseeing compliance and legal operations.
