What the job really is

The Staff Engineer - DevX at Buildkite will lead efforts to enhance Developer Experience for a team of around 80 engineers, focusing on improving CI, build tooling, and deployment paths. The role involves hands-on coding, measuring productivity improvements, and fostering relationships within the engineering team to drive changes that enhance efficiency. This position is fully remote and targets candidates in Australia, New Zealand, or the USA (West Coast).
