Bachelor's degree in the chemical, physical or biological sciences
0-2 years of CLS experience in a clinical setting
A current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License
Advanced knowledge of Google Docs, Word, Excel, basic statistics and familiarity with LIMS systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to work flexibly and well under given timeframes
Self-starter and dynamic team player with excellent verbal and written skills.

Experience in a cell-free DNA setting and manual molecular biology protocols

What the job really is

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at BillionToOne, you will work part-time to perform non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) on maternal blood samples, detecting inherited disorders. Your role involves conducting laboratory assays, ensuring quality control, verifying instrument performance, and contributing to process improvements in a high-complexity CLIA environment.
