  • 10+ years of accounting experience, including experience as a Controller (or equivalent) in a healthcare services organization
  • Direct experience in a roll-up or multi-entity environment, ideally integrating acquired businesses into a centralized accounting function
  • Deep familiarity with healthcare revenue models, including fee-for-service billing, capitation/PMPM, delegated or global risk arrangements, and other value-based care structures
  • Proven track record of improving close timelines, implementing systems, and upgrading accounting infrastructure in a high-growth environment
  • Experience implementing modern ERP systems and building scalable accounting processes from the ground up
  • Strong technical accounting foundation, with the ability to navigate complexity across entities, states, and revenue streams

What the job really is

The Controller at Akido will lead the integration of newly acquired healthcare businesses into a unified accounting system while overseeing the transition to a modern ERP. This role involves designing scalable financial processes, managing a team, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The Controller will also partner with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and improve the monthly close timeline.
