What the job really is

The ACLU-NBLSA Southern Legal Internship Program (SLIP) offers law students the opportunity to work full-time for 10 weeks during the summer of 2027 at various ACLU affiliates across the Southern Collective. Interns will engage in legal research, drafting documents, and participating in client intake, contributing to campaigns focused on civil rights and social justice issues affecting Black and Brown communities. This internship aims to cultivate a new generation of civil rights attorneys committed to social justice in the South.
